People in hospitals often have trouble communicating verbally after and illness such as a stroke, or post surgery. Current tools for communication are clumsy and not very effective.

Design a tablet app that can be used by hospital patients who cannot communicate verbally. Existing tools are usually made of cardboard, and have simple words and actions printed on them (e.g. “hungry”, “need to speak to doctor”, “call my family”) as well as a printed keyboard for communicating more complex words and ideas.
